“TREND MICRO ONLINE” PROMOTION
1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2. Entry is only open to Australian and New Zealand residents aged 18 years or over. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin
3. Promotion commences on 07/07/10 and closes 11:59pm on 30/09/10 (“Promotional Period”).
4. To be eligible to enter, individuals must purchase a new, renewal or upgrade of any Participatin Product (as defined below) online via shop.trendmicro.com.au or shop.trendmicro.co.nz during the Promotional Period. Participating products include:
Trend Micro Internet Security 2010
Trend Micro Internet Security Pro 2010
Trend Micro Smart Surfing for Mac
Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security
Trend Micro Titanium Maximum Security
And product from the Worry Free range; and
Any premium support product
5. To enter, eligible entrants must, during the Promotional Period, install their Participating Product, and during the installation process, register by inputting their personal details including their full name and email address. Individuals will receive one (1) automatic entry upon completion of the installation process. (Including registration). If an entrant does not wish to be automatically entered in to the promotion they should contact the Promoter directly using the contact details provided in Clause 21.
Eligible entrants will also have the opportunity to receive a bonus entry. In order to receive a bonus entry, eligible entrants must, during the promotional period, purchase a two (2) years license of TIS 2010, PRO 2010 or Worry-Free or purchase a Premium Support product.This can be done either: (a) at the time of purchasing a Participating Product; or (b) in the case of Premium Support, by visiting http://shop.trendmicro.com.au purchase Premium support and register details as specified above.
- The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
- Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.
- Multiple entries permitted, subject to the following: (a) only one (1) entry permitted per Participating Product purchased; and (b) only one (1) bonus entry permitted per order of (2) years license of PRO or Premium support.
- If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.
- There will be three (3) draws conducted for this promotion. Entries close for each draw on the dates and times specified in the table below. All draws will take place at Anisimoff Legal, Suite 1, Level 1, 34 Chandos Street, St Leonards NSW 2065 at 11:00am on the dates specified in the table below. All times indicated are AEST unless specified otherwise. Entries in each minor draw will be entered into any subsequent minor draws. Winners will be notified by email and winners who reside in Australia will have their names published in The Australian on the dates specified in the table below.

- The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Entries will be divided into Australian and New Zealand residents:
(a) The first valid entry drawn in the July Draw from Australian residents will win AUD$10,000. The first valid entry drawn in the July Draw from New Zealand residents will win NZ$2,000.
(b) The first valid entry drawn in the August Draw from Australian residents will win AUD$15,000. The first valid entry drawn in the August Draw from New Zealand residents will win NZ$3,000.
(c) The first valid entry drawn in the September Draw from Australian residents will win AUD$25,000. The first valid entry drawn in the September Draw from New Zealand residents will win ND$7,000.
- Cash prizes will be awarded in the form of a cheque.
- Total prize pool value in Australia is AUD$50,000 and the total prize pool value in New Zealand is NZ$12,000. Prizes, or any unused portion of a prize, are not transferable or exchangeable.
- A draw for any unclaimed prizes in Australia may take place on 06/01/11 at the same time and place as the original draw, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority. Australian winners’ names, if any, will be published in The Australian on 20/01/11.
- Entrants consent to the Promoter using the entrant's name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
- If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
- Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used. The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by that entrant invalid.
- Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e); any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) use of a prize.
- The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this information. The Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the information for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the entrant. Entrants should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter. All entries become the property of the Promoter.
